My Islands Do Not Make a Nation – Contemporary Art from the Virgin Islands

The Gri Gri Project, a curatorial team in the U.S. Virgin Islands, has been invited by Casa de las Américas in Havana, Cuba, to exhibit works by contemporary Virgin Islands artists during their International Colloquium on Cultural Diversity in the Caribbean. The following artists have been chosen to exhibit, Shansi Miller, LaVaughn Belle, Jon Euwema, David Berg, Janet Cook-Rutnik, Sigi Torinus and Cooper Penn. Penn will also perform as a Mocko Jumbie.
